Lion Air regrettably does not pay compensation in the unlikely event that Baggage cannot be retrieved for whatever reason. Please ensure that valuable items such as money, jewelry, important documents etc are carried with you at all times.
For passenger convenience and for safety and security reasons, a passenger will be allowed to board his or her flight with one piece of hand luggage (in addition to his or her free baggage allowance processed at the check-in counter), provided the hand luggage is of a reasonable shape and size to fit either under the passenger’s seat or in the overhead cabin compartment. If the item cannot be stowed in the cabin, an attendant will stow the item in the baggage compartment below. In addition to the free baggage allowance, the following items may be carried free of charge: A lady’s handbag, pocketbook or purse, which can be considered appropriate to normal traveling dress and is not being used to transport any articles that would otherwise be regarded as baggage An overcoat wrap or blanket A small camera and/or a pair of binoculars An infant’s food for consumption during the flight An infant’s carry basket An umbrella or walking stick A reasonable amount of reading material for the flight A fully collapsible wheelchair and/or crutches and/or braces or other prosthetic devices for the passenger’s use, provided the passenger is dependent upon them
For safety reasons, dangerous articles such as those listed below, must not be carried in any passenger’s baggage: Briefcases and attaché cases with security devices containing compressed gases, or other such devices containing gases (either flammable, non-flammable or poisonous) such as butane, oxygen, propane or aqualung cylinders Corrosive agents such as acids, alkalis and wet-cell batteries Etiologic agents (bacteria, viruses, etc) Explosives, munitions, fireworks and flares Flammable liquids and solids such as lighter or heater fuels, matches, lighters and articles that are easily ignited Oxidizing materials such as bleaching powder, peroxides etc Poisons such as arsenic, cyanides, insecticides, weed killers etc
